About Meucci Sport 9 Tour (Brief History)
The Meucci Sport 9 Regional Tour was formed in 2013 out of Memphis, TN and began as a ladies regional tour for the WPBA. In 2016 Sport 9 was sanctioned as an NAPT (North American Pool Tour) regional tour which included both mens and womens division events. Sport 9 provides men and women of any skill level including amateur, semi-pro and pro status the opportunity to compete in tournaments, win cash, improve skill level, and earn points towards year end tour rankings and/or DIV II (semi-pro) RTCs (Regional Tour Championships). The Sport 9 region includes Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Louisiana. Event locations vary from year to year so be sure to check the current calendar for event locations.
The number of tournaments will vary from year to year but usually has at least 4 events per year and at least 1 to 2 qualifier events. All participating paid members will receive 25% - 40% off Meucci Cues (orders must be placed through Janeen Lee), be ranked on tour as well as a FARGOrank rating, receive digital membership cards (NAPT), earn plaques, get pool goodies at the awards ceremony at the end of the season. Award nominees/categories will be posted and polls will go out 30 days before the event. You must be a Sport 9 member to vote and/or be nominated.
Tournament Format
Most mens events will be played on barbox tables whereas the ladies will play on both big and bar tables. Women not competing in the ladies event are allowed to play in the mens events. All events will be structured very similar to NAPT events including a dress code. Players are required to adhere to the rules, bylaws, and dress code at each event. Dress code and tournament format will be provided prior to each event.
Member/Player Registration
To become a member, you must read and agree to follow the Sport 9 Tour Rules & Bylaws and pay the yearly membership fee prior to the event. Once you have read over the rules, fill out the membership form and select the payment method that works best for you.
Once your payment is received you will automatically be pre-registered for all events for the current year and will be added to the members list.
Event Entry Fees
Entry fees vary due to location and number of tables available and range from $25 - $100. Entry fees will always be posted on event flyers and updated on tour website or Facebook in advance. Please see events page for fees and registration.
